The Kit Carson™ rides at a mid-height, typically with the ejection port being at the lower third of the belt slot. The gun is held securely against the wearer's side with the butt of the firearm tucked in tight. Constructed of the finest cowhide or horsehide available, this holster is designed to carry your firearm securely in a slightly forward cant of approximately 10-12 degrees. The Kit Carson™ is molded and detailed for the customer's specific firearm. All belt slots are cut slightly larger than the wearer's belt to prevent excessive wear against the top and bottom edges of their gun belt.

Holster Options

The Kit Carson™ is available with a sweat shield or body protector as a standard item but can be removed if the customer desires; basic color is black (brown tones, mahogany and natural are also available). The Kit Carson™ is available for 1 1/4 inch, 1 1/2 inch, and 1 3/4 inch belts widths. Contrast stitching is available upon customer written request, otherwise all stitching matches holster as closely as possible. Trigger guard tension screw available at no extra cost. Holster mouth reinforcement and trim available at additional expense.
